NICOLEFAN.COM EXCLUSIVE
ElectricNewPaper - NICOLE Scherzinger, the lead singer with the Pussycat Dolls, met Lewis Hamilton after a show in Europe in November 2007. Soon, they became close and as their relationship developed last year, they became very important to each other.
At 30, Scherzinger is seven years older than Hamilton, but as the child of a broken home in Hawaii where she grew up, she understands him and she has given him great support in his first title-winning year.
And for both, it has elevated them to a higher level of fame and all the demands and intrusions that go with it. They have been seen together at many glamorous events including the Monaco Grand Prix, holidaying in Ibiza, resting in Los Angeles and attending the special 90th birthday celebrations for Nelson Mandela in London. She was in Sao Paulo to support Hamilton in the Brazilian Grand Prix when he won the title in November last year.
‘It is so great for me to have her there, she gives me great, wise advice and energy,’ said Hamilton. ‘For me, inside the car and out of it, this has been a big year, a growing-up year in so many ways.’
In Shanghai, in the days that preceded the Chinese Grand Prix, Hamilton spoke daily at length to Scherzinger following his near-disastrous and controversial pointless exit from the Japanese Grand Prix (when Hamilton destroyed his race by being given a drive-through penalty for forcing Kimi Raikkonen off the corner at the start). ‘She was important for me,’ he said. ‘She is a wonderful person and her support has been special for me. We share a lot of things and she has helped me with my faith. It was so great to have her there in the garage in Brazil.’
Inspiration
From the start, Hamilton has always believed that his success, and the fame that came with it, was only something to help him give back to others some inspiration to succeed themselves. And that humility has helped him keep his feet on the ground and remain close to his fans. ‘I always give my fans time because I can remember when I was young, how much it can mean - I was a fan once myself.’
Now added HQ scans of the magazine “Maxim” Germany, issue January 2009. Nicolefan exclusive! Also we got a request. If anybody has HX Magazine issue September 2008 please comment here.
